WEA Legislative Report Card
Senators
WEA's Legislative Report Card is an objective system that tracks votes on education-related bills and the sponsorship of those bills. Each legislator is assigned a grade based on their voting record as it relates to the lawmaker's support for public education. Legislators scoring 60 and above on the WEA Legislative Report Card are eligible for endorsement by the Wyoming Education Association Political Action Committee for Education (WEA PACE).
The WEA PACE Incumbent candidate endorsement process utilizes the new WEA Legislative Report Card to establish an incumbent's eligibility for endorsement. It is important to note that this is for eligibility purposes only. Incumbent candidates with a two-year rolling average on the legislative report card of 80% or better are automatically eligible. Incumbent candidates who have sought WEA PACE endorsement with a score between 79 and 60 are eligible contingent on an interview with the one or more members of the WEA Lobbying Team. Incumbent candidates with scores lower than 59 are ineligible for WEA PACE endorsement.
New candidates' endorsement eligibility is contingent on candidates' completion of the WEA PACE Questionnaire and a Candidate Interview Team (CIT) interview.
